Figure 3: Key features and modes of the MK580
3.1 E-TTL Mode
In E-TTL (Evaluative Through-The-Lens) mode, the flash automatically determines the optimal flash output based on the camera's metering system. This is the standard automatic flash mode for Canon cameras.
3.2 Mode Manual (M)
Manual mode allows you to set the flash output level manually, from full power (1/1) down to 1/128 power, in 1/3 stop increments. Use the control dial to adjust the power level.
3.3 Mode Multi (Stroboskopik)
Multi mode fires the flash repeatedly during a single exposure, creating a stroboscopic effect. You can set the flash output, number of flashes, and frequency (Hz).
3.4 Modus Utama
The MK580 can act as a master unit to wirelessly control other compatible slave flash units. Set the flash to Master mode and configure the desired groups and channels.
3.5 Slave Mode
When set to Slave mode, the MK580 can be triggered wirelessly by a master flash unit or the camera's built-in flash. This allows for off-camera lighting setups.
3.6 Mode Slave Optik S1/S2
These are optical slave modes that trigger the MK580 when another flash fires. S1 mode triggers on the first flash, while S2 mode ignores the pre-flash of a TTL system and triggers on the main flash.
3.7 Flash Head Rotation and Bounce
The flash head can be rotated and tilted to bounce light off ceilings or walls, creating softer, more natural lighting. The head offers:
- Vertical Rotation Angle: 0 to 90 degrees
- Horizontal Rotation Angle: 0 to 180 degrees

3.8 Fungsi Pembesaran
The flash zoom head can automatically adjust its position to match the focal length of your lens (24-105mm). You can also manually set the zoom position using the ZOOM button and control dial.
4. Pemeliharaan
4.1 Pembersihan
To clean the flash unit, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, lightly dampen the cloth with water and then wipe dry. Do not use organic solvents such as thinner or benzene, as these can damage the finish.
4.2 Penyimpanan
When not in use for extended periods, remove the batteries from the flash unit to prevent leakage and corrosion. Store the flash in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
4.3 Perawatan Baterai
Always use fresh batteries. If the flash is not performing as expected, replace the batteries. Dispose of used batteries responsibly according to local regulations.
