4. Instalasi

This door knob is designed for easy installation. A long No.2 Phillips screwdriver is typically the only tool required.

Langkah-langkah Penting Sebelum Instalasi:

• Remove Preinstalled Screws: The machine screws come preinstalled in the handle. Remove them before starting the installation process.
• Keyhole Orientation: During installation, ensure the keyhole on the exterior knob is oriented correctly (key in the 'as shown' position) to prevent the key from getting stuck.
• Lock Tailpiece Alignment: Make sure the lock tailpiece and the thumb-turn knob are at the same level. Insert the lock tailpiece into the slot behind the thumb-turn knob.

5. Operasi

The keyed entry door knob provides security and privacy for your door.

• Dari Eksterior: Insert one of the provided keys into the keyhole and turn to lock or unlock the mechanism.
• Dari Dalaman: Use the thumb-turn button on the interior knob to lock or unlock the door.

6. Pemeliharaan

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and smooth operation of your door knob.

• Pembersihan: Wipe the knob with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that may damage the matte black finish.
• Pelumasan: Periodically apply a small amount of graphite lubricant to the keyhole and latch mechanism to ensure smooth operation. Do not use oil-based lubricants as they can attract dirt.
• Sekrup Pengencangan: Check and tighten mounting screws periodically to prevent loosening and ensure secure installation.

7. Penyelesaian masalah

If you encounter issues with your door knob, refer to the following common solutions:

• Kenopnya Longgar: Tighten the machine screws that secure the knobs to the door. Ensure they are fully engaged.
• Key is Stuck or Hard to Turn: Apply graphite lubricant to the keyhole. Ensure the key is fully inserted and the keyhole is correctly aligned (refer to installation section).
• Latch Does Not Engage Fully: Check the alignment of the strike plate on the door frame. Adjust if necessary to ensure the latch bolt can fully extend into the strike plate opening.
• Pintu Tidak Tertutup dengan Benar: Verify that the door frame is not warped and that the strike plate is correctly positioned and secured.
