Read all instructions before installation and operation. Failure to follow these instructions may result in property damage, injury, or death. This smoke alarm is designed for residential use only. It is not intended for use in non-residential buildings or for special applications. Do not paint the alarm. Paint can clog the openings and interfere with the sensor's ability to detect smoke.

3.3 Interconnection Capability

This smoke detector can be interconnected with up to 24 compatible Kidde smoke, heat, or CO alarms. When one interconnected alarm senses smoke, all connected alarms will sound, providing enhanced warning throughout your home. The red interconnect wire facilitates this feature.

4. Operasi

Once installed and powered, the smoke detector continuously monitors for smoke. Familiarize yourself with its indicators and functions.

4.1 Test/Hush Button

The large central button on the front of the alarm serves two functions:

• Tes: Press and hold the button to test the alarm's electronic circuitry, horn, and battery. The alarm will sound if functioning correctly. Test weekly.
• Diam: In case of a nuisance alarm (e.g., from cooking smoke or shower steam), press the button to temporarily silence the alarm for approximately 8-10 minutes. The alarm will automatically reset after this period.

4.2 LED Indicators and Alarm Signals

The unit has a green LED for power/standby and a red LED for alarm/trouble conditions.

The alarm will not detect smoke in this condition. To silence the end-of-life chirps for up to 3 days, press the Test/Hush button. This feature is temporary and the unit must be replaced.
