2. Informasi Keselamatan

4. Petunjuk Perakitan

Follow these steps carefully to assemble your raised garden bed. A power drill with a #2 Phillips head bit is highly recommended for efficient assembly.

1. Bongkar dan Identifikasi Bagian-bagiannya: Lay out all wooden panels and hardware. Refer to the included parts list to identify each component. Note that some parts may be mislabeled; cross-reference with the diagrams.
2. Merakit Panel Samping: Connect the side panels to the leg posts using the provided screws. Ensure the complete side plates are installed firmly to prevent soil leakage.
3. Install Bottom Battens: Secure the three supporting battens to the bottom of the planter box. Ensure they are properly aligned to enhance stability. Avoid over-compressing side braces during this step, as it may make inserting bottom pieces difficult.
4. Amankan Panel yang Tersisa: Attach any remaining panels to complete the main structure of the planter box. Double-check all connections for tightness.
5. Insert Fabric Liner: Place the non-woven fabric liner inside the assembled planter box. Ensure it covers the bottom and sides adequately. If desired, cut small holes in the liner directly over the pre-drilled drainage holes in the bottom panels to ensure proper water flow.

5. Operasi

Once assembled, your raised garden bed is ready for planting.

1. Fill with Soil: Add a suitable potting mix or garden soil to the planter. Consider adding a layer of humus or other organic material at the bottom before the main soil for improved plant health.
2. Penanaman: Arrange and plant your desired vegetables, flowers, or herbs. The ergonomic height of the planter allows for comfortable planting and tending without excessive bending.
3. Pengairan: Water your plants regularly. The integrated drainage holes will prevent water accumulation, ensuring optimal moisture levels for roots.

6. Pemeliharaan

Proper maintenance will extend the lifespan of your raised garden bed.

• Perawatan Kayu: Although made of durable fir wood, applying a water sealant or penetrating oil (e.g., Tung Oil, Penofin) to the wood annually can significantly protect it from weathering and rot, especially if the wood is unfinished.
• Perawatan Kapal: The fabric liner helps protect the wood from direct soil contact. Periodically check the liner for tears or damage and replace if necessary. Ensure drainage holes remain clear.
• Pembersihan: Clean the exterior of the planter with a damp cloth as needed to remove dirt and debris.
• Penyimpanan Musim Dingin: In harsh winter climates, consider emptying the planter and storing it in a sheltered area to prevent damage from extreme temperatures and moisture.

7. Penyelesaian masalah

• Difficulty with Bottom Pieces: If the bottom wood pieces do not fit easily, check if the side braces were overly compressed during assembly. Slightly loosen the side screws to allow for easier insertion, then retighten.
• Mislabeled Parts: If parts appear mislabeled, refer to the assembly diagrams in the instruction manual to correctly identify components based on their shape and size.
• Wood Warping/Rotting: Untreated wood exposed to constant moisture may warp or rot over time. Apply a wood sealant as part of regular maintenance. Ensure the fabric liner is properly installed and drainage holes are clear to minimize wood-soil contact and moisture retention.
