This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your DTAPE Laser Measure. This device is designed for precise distance measurements, offering multiple modes for various applications.
The DTAPE Laser Measure requires 1.5V AAA batteries. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device, open it, and insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators. Close the compartment securely.

Press and hold the power button (usually marked with a power symbol) to turn the device on or off. The backlit LCD display will illuminate upon activation.
1. Point the laser aperture towards the target surface.
2. Press the measurement button (often the main central button) once to activate the laser.
3. Press the measurement button again to take a reading. The distance will be displayed on the screen.

To switch between measurement units (m/in/ft/ft+in), long-press the "Unit" button. The current unit will be indicated on the display.

The device allows you to set the measurement reference point from either the front or the back of the device. Press the reference point button (often indicated by an icon showing the device's base) to toggle between these options.

The DTAPE Laser Measure offers 7 measurement modes. Press the mode button (often indicated by a grid or multiple squares icon) to cycle through the available functions:
