TEKTRO support FAQ
Pertanyaan umum tentang manual, pendaftaran, dan dukungan untuk merek ini.
-
Can I use other types of disc brake fluids with TEKTRO brakes?
No, only use TEKTRO branded replacement mineral oil. Using DOT fluid or other oils will harm the system, compress seals, and severely compromise braking performance.
-
When should I replace my TEKTRO brake pads?
Brake pads should be replaced when the wear line grooves on the pad/rim contact surface have worn away, or if they have less than 2.5mm thickness (on disc brakes) to ensure proper safety and performance.
-
What type of brake levers are compatible with TEKTRO cantilever brakes?
Only drop-down handlebar or canti-type levers should be used with TEKTRO cantilever brakes (like the CR720 or CR710). They are designed for specific leverage ratios.
-
What should I do if my TEKTRO hydraulic brakes are leaking oil?
Stop riding immediately. A fluid leak indicates a potential brake failure. Inspect the system to determine the cause of the leak and consult a qualified mechanic before riding the bike again.
